At LMD, we believe gratitude isn’t just something we say—it’s something we live. The day after Thanksgiving, which we fondly call Gratitude Friday, is our way of putting that belief into action.
Rather than rushing back to work or heading out to the big-box stores for holiday shopping, we close our doors so our employees can open theirs to family, friends, and the simple joys that matter most. It’s a day to slow down, recharge, and truly be present with the people who bring meaning to our lives.
Honoring Our People and Their Families
Our team is the heart of who we are. Every success, every milestone, and every creative idea starts with the incredible people who bring their talents and energy to LMD each day. Gratitude Friday is our way of saying “thank you” not just to our employees, but also to their families and closest friends. We know that behind every dedicated team member is a support system of loved ones cheering them on. This extra day is a small gesture of appreciation for everything our people and their families and friends do all year long to make the great work we do possible.

As we move into the holiday season, Gratitude Friday also reminds us of the power of community. We’re proud to support small, local businesses, including the artisans, entrepreneurs, and shop owners who make our neighborhoods vibrant and resilient.
We encourage our team (and you!) to think local when you shop this weekend. Whether it’s grabbing coffee at a neighborhood café, finding a one-of-a-kind gift from a local maker, or dining at a family-owned restaurant, every purchase helps strengthen our communities.
