Laurel, MD – LMD, an award-winning, full-service branding and strategic communications firm based in Laurel, Maryland, was recently awarded a new five-year, $57M contract to support the U.S. Coast Guard’s (USCG) recruiting program and its mission to ensure the nation’s maritime safety, security, and stewardship.  

LMD has served USCG since 2017, providing a full suite of creative, media planning and placement, web design and maintenance, social media services, and a newly launched recruitment brand. LMD’s work focuses on boosting USCG recruitment through media campaigns, services, and technologies that expand the program’s reach, amplifying messages about the critical need for servicemembers, and showcasing the broad range of unique and exciting USCG career opportunities. The new contract extends LMD’s partnership with USCG through 2028.

On Tuesday, March 7, during the State of the Coast Guard Address in Washington, DC, Admiral Linda L. Fagan launched the new recruiting command brand and unveiled the new USCG recruiting website GoCoastGuard.com, designed by LMD to maximize recruiting efforts. It is the first brand refresh since 2012, giving the USCG recruiting program a new visual identity and more tools to expand recruitment efforts and outreach.
