Change for the Greater Good

Change for the greater good.

People who dedicate their lives to serving others inspire us to change the lives of the less fortunate and most vulnerable in our communities. Everyone at LMD shares a passion to help others. We're honored to combine our talents to support and serve our community.

"Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world."

Howard Zinn

Bernadette’s House

Founded in 2012, Bernadette's House provides a safe and supportive home-like environment for preteen and teenage girls who live in and around Laurel, MD. The program fosters the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will help the girls make positive life choices. Bernadette's House is 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization.

Over the past few years, LMD has donated time and resources to help Bernadette's House achieve its mission and vision. From stocking the pantry with healthy snacks to creating a cozy lounge where the girls can hangout, LMD is proud to contribute to the life-changing work happening at Bernadette's House. Most importantly, LMD helps Bernadette's House raise awareness and support through fundraising activities, branding, social and email marketing, and public relations.

Bernadette’s House was recently featured on Prince George’s County TV. Check out the coverage:

Fortify Our Frontlines

The COVID-19 pandemic has strained our healthcare systems and first responders. Firefighters, paramedics, police officers, and healthcare workers bravely put their lives on the line every day as our life-saving front line during this pandemic.

LMD is contributing to the COVID-19 battle with our #FortifyOurFrontlines challenge. We've sent meals, N95 masks, and hand sanitizer to the paid and volunteer staff at Laurel Volunteer Fire Department to thank them for their selfless serve and make their day a bit easier and brighter.

The Challenge

We can't create change alone, so we're challenging other businesses, organizations, and individuals to help #FortifyOurFrontlines.

How to Participate

  1. Call your local fire department, police station, or healthcare facility and ask them what they need–snacks, meals, cleaning supplies, masks, etc. Remember to ask for delivery instructions.
  2. Order meals from local restaurants to help them stay in business.
  3. Post your contribution on social media with #FortifyOurFrontlines to encourage others to do the same.

Recently, LMD spoke with PGCTV about how we're helping first responders during the COVID-19 pandemic.

LMD has provided meals and masks to PGFD Station 810/Laurel Volunteer Company.

'Tis Our Reason for the Season

During the holiday season, LMD sends care packages to the homeless, human trafficking survivors, and/or members of our military.
