Graphic Designer - EERE

Job Description: 

Our team is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to support a contract with the Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy (EERE) Communications Support Services. The Graphic Designer will work with a team of Communications Strategists to develop robust communications plans and marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities: 
  • Create graphics and animations for social media channels, website placement, and GovDelivery platforms.
  • Create brand extensions within the EERE family brand and style guides.
  • Update and create factoids, infographics, and fact sheets.
  • Design and update presentations in PowerPoint within the EERE family brand and templates.
  • Assist the Social Media Manager with digital assets.
  • Create and update videos.
  • Convert and test all creative assets to adhere to Section 508 compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to EERE branding and template guidelines with all created products.
Required Skills: 
  • 4+ years of experience desired
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Experience working successfully in a team environment
  • Ability to juggle multiple jobs simultaneously
  • Ability to develop, express, and rationalize concepts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The competence and confidence to take instructions and run with them
  • Demonstrated experience and comfort communicating with and processing deliverables directly from a client
  • Video development and production skills are strongly preferred 
  • Advanced proficiency of traditional, digital, and web interface design skills
  • Must be proficient in the following Adobe Creative Cloud 2021 applications: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Acrobat Pro, and Premiere Pro
  • Must be proficient in the following MS Office 2021 applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
