LMD Designs Hospice Annual Report
LAUREL, MD – July 18, 2007 – LMD, a marketing and design firm, has designed the 2006 annual report for Hospice of the Chesapeake, the leading non-profit, community-based provider of hospice services in Anne Arundel and Prince George's counties.LMD's creative design features themes of compassion and community, amplified by quotations on those topics from various writers and public figures. It is the second year that LMD has designed Hospice of the Chesapeake's annual report.
"Hospice of the Chesapeake provides such important services for our area communities, and we are delighted to help raise public awareness of its services and its outstanding achievements," said Sarah Pugh, president of LMD.
Hospice of the Chesapeake's achievements in 2006 include caring for 1,826 patients - a 15% increase over 2005 - and opening its second residential hospice facility, the John & Arloine Mandrin Chesapeake Hospice House in Harwood.
Other notable achievements listed in the 28-page report include the expansion of Hospice of the Chesapeake's services to virtually all hospitals in both counties and to an increasing number of nursing homes and assisted living facilities, and its training of area clergy in how best to assist hospice patients and their families.
The annual report also notes the crucial support of 400 volunteers giving 29,000 hours of service, and lists donors who helped raise $2 million in contributions for Hospice of the Chesapeake, which was founded in 1979.
