Old Traditions, New Digs, and Always Good Food: LMD Rebrands Ledo Restaurant

LAUREL, MD—September 2, 2010—When Ledo Restaurant moved to its new location in College Park, MD, last weekend, it reopened its doors with a fresh new look—and the same Italian cuisine that has made it famous. The new College Park location continues to offer diners—from families to college students—a high-quality, healthy, affordable alternative to cooking at home, plus a friendly dining experience or convenient carry-out.

 

"We're very excited about Ledo [Restaurant] coming to downtown College Park," said College Park Mayor Andrew Fellows. "I think it will provide a family and student gathering place, and I think it'll be a little bit of a destination site for people in the region."

 

In concert with the opening of the new location, Ledo Restaurant partnered with LMD, a Laurel-based marketing firm, to design a logo and menu fusing the restaurant’s rich history with a contemporary look-and-feel. The new logo and menu retain the Ledo Restaurant tradition of classic Italian cuisine, family, and community, while incorporating an updated design and a nostalgic nod to old-world Italian traditions, including the logo’s unique ladle/pizza cutter accent.

 

“LMD designed a logo and menu that convey exactly who we are and what we offer,” said co-owner Tommy Marcos Jr. “The designs are new, but they still have a rich, vintage flavor about them—just like Ledo Restaurant.”

 

Ledo Restaurant has been a landmark for 55 years, serving its famous pizza, lasagna, and other homemade Italian specialties. Always dedicated to the local community, Ledo Restaurant not only offers fresh cuisine in a family-friendly atmosphere, but also sponsors community organizations and initiatives such as the Boys Club, Little League, and bowling teams.
