LMD Launches Campaign Promoting the Benefits of Credit Unions
LAUREL, MD – June 8, 2010 – LMD has launched an outreach campaign for the Maryland & DC Credit Union Association aimed at increasing credit union membership, dispelling common misperceptions about credit unions, and differentiating credit unions from banks.
"The economy remains in a state of flux, which offers credit unions an ideal opportunity to market themselves," said Sarah Pugh, LMD's president. "The campaign is designed to inform consumers that credit unions are a safe and secure alternative to banks."
Through social media and radio, billboard, transit, and online advertising, the campaign drives consumers to the redesigned WhatsInItForMe.org website so that they can learn more about the benefits of credit unions and find a credit union that's right for them.
Using a high-impact, visually appealing design and compelling messaging, the materials target a wide range of adults ages 18-54, also focusing on the Hispanic population. The campaign also focuses on affiliate credit unions, providing them with a toolkit of campaign-branded materials, including information on marketing credit unions to the Gen Y population.
