About the Client
Lund Trading is the exclusive North American and Caribbean distributor for Trollbeads, a line of collectible jewelry. Trollbeads jewelry is created by internationally renowned artisans and has won international recognition, including exhibition at the Sculpture Objects & Functional Art expositions in Chicago and New York.Challenge
Lund Trading tasked LMD with developing a national branding and advertising campaign with print, online, and in-store presence in order to:
- Position Trollbeads as the high-quality, modern day charm bracelet.
- Differentiate Trollbeads from similar “collect-a-bead” jewelry lines in the marketplace.
- Increase awareness and sales among consumers.
- Increase demand for Trollbeads among retailers, and increase the number of Trollbeads retailers throughout North America and the Caribbean.
Solution
- LMD designed and launched a national advertising campaign. Components include a new logo and brand identity; print advertising; website design; email marketing program; variable data marketing materials (brochures, direct mail, ad slicks); point-of-sale materials (posters, window decals, in-store banner); tradeshow exhibit displays; packaging; product photography; and other tools.
- LMD’s solution effectively positions Trollbeads in the collectible bead market by showcasing Trollbeads’ exceptional, high-quality materials, oversized beads, and artisan craftsmanship.
Outcome
- Sales increased 75% in the first year of the campaign.
- The Trollbeads campaign won a 2009 Silver ADDY Award in the Consumer/Trade Campaign (color) category.
