Capitol College tasked LMD with designing a visually compelling website that would meet the following objectives:

• Position Capitol as an innovative, academically challenging institution.
• Organize information in a way that is intuitive and easily accessible for multiple audiences.
• Increase enrollment.

LMD designed a website for Capitol that positions the college as a leading institution for higher learning in science and technology by:

• Elevating Capitol's overall visual identity through consistent design treatment throughout.
• Sharing Capitol’s mission and academic scope.
• Highlighting the key benefits of choosing Capitol through success stories and testimonials.
• Enhancing the visitor experience through a progressive look and functionality.
• Incorporating intuitive navigation, facilitating the retrieval of information for a wide variety of audiences.
• Facilitating site updates and maintenance through a user-friendly CMS.

Outcome

The Capitol College website was evaluated by EDU Checkup and was rated an A by scoring 283 out of a possible 300 points.

Technology

• Uses Drupal 5.0 CMS system incorporating live, inline page editing functionality, and content versioning.
• Provides multi-level user authentication and access controls.
• Leverages extensive, custom jQuery to drive user experiences.
• Automatically updates news and events items through custom data import/export.
